Luckily, Adam & Katie stuck around after that and helped entertain the kids while Nick and I ran around trying to pack for STL. We rushed out of the house and spent the next 3 days visiting Gma & Gpa Carter and Uncle Matt.
Nathan has started repeating words right after you say them :o) He is now calling Uncle Matt and Aunt Katie by name! It is so cute....And whenever Nick is still at work in the mornings when he gets up he says "Dada?" And I tell him "no - Dada isn't here" He responds "Wwww?" trying to say "work". Cute cute cute! OH and he started saying his own name!!! He calls himself "Nay Nay" :o)
A very special treat this week was attending Layla Barton's 2nd Birthday Party!!! You may recall that Layla and Nathan were born just a couple weeks apart. Layla's mommy and I worked together and had a blast going through our pregnancies together. Every kick, cramp or craving was talked about. How wonderful it was to have someone going through the exact same thing at the exact same time!
We rounded out the holidays by celebrating Uncle Adam's b-day and New Year's together with you guessed it --- more food. Something new this year was the famous Carter biscuits & gravy. This was the first time I ever made it by myself. It was a hit!
I guess it's a good thing I got this super cool bike trailer from Santa. I'm going to need to do several laps around the block to burn off all those calories....
Other random things from December:
This is what happened to our gingerbread house after the "after" pictures were published...
Hannah pinching Sophie's nose...
Hannah pinching Nathan's nose...
Hannah being beautiful...
Nathan making more poor fashion decisions...
All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth! Oh wait - don't need 'em anyway...
So cute! I'm glad Layla's bday made your blog! haha ;o) It was so great seeing you guys. Potty training is in full swing at this house...oh boy!
