Nathan has been on strike against veggies for several months now (I blame daycare). I am on a mission to sneak them in every was I can...
Usually if I put the vegetable on the back of the spoon and something "yummy" in front of it I can get a few bites down before he figures it out. A couple days ago he wanted to use my fork at dinner to stab the peas. He thought he was hot stuff using a fork and didn't even realize he was eating a vegetable!
My latest trick is to add veggie purees to food he likes. There are a ton of websites to find recipes. So far the "white sauce" (cauliflower and zucchini puree) added to mac 'n' cheese has been a success! We also made a "orange sauce" (sweet potato and carrot puree) but I don't really know what to put that on yet...
They even have a "purple sauce" you can add to brownies. I wonder if I can trick Nick too....hmmm.....
