Loving It!!!!

The last two weeks have been wonderful! I never guessed it would be so wonderful to watch the kids grow and learn. It is so amazing to watch Nathan process ideas and learn new things. Sometimes I get more excited than him :o)

I was worried that I wouldn't be able to keep them entertained all day but we stay busy! In the mornings we usually go for a walk. There is a Decatur Mom's group that I've started participating in so that Nathan can continue to interact with other kids and I can meet some other stay-at-home-moms. They visit a park each Wednesday and last week just happened to be at our neighborhood park! Perfect timing for our first week at home :o)

Then Thursday we went to a "lapsit" at the library. It's for kids 0-3 and they get to run around and play with toys or sit in Mommy's lap and sing songs/dance/etc. Nathan loves reading books so that was his favorite part. We liked it so much last week that we went twice this week!

Last Friday Nick and I had a weekend away. Our very good friend, Jon Hart, got married in Missouri. It's still a little early to travel with Hannah so Gma and Gpa Heckman stayed at the house with her, Nathan and Sophie. Nathan tried to go with us...

Nick and I missed them but we enjoyed the peace and quiet in the car and had a great time catching up with all our friends from college.

The wedding was small and casual; it made for a very relaxing weekend. The ceremony was literally in the middle of a hay field, down a little dirt road. It was held at 9am because the church didn't have air conditioning! Then the boys played golf all day and the ladies went shopping and had mani/pedis :o) It was fun to have grown up time but of course all we did the whole time was talk about our babies!

The reception was a blast!

Most of us were dancing all night...but Nick was a party pooper. This is what happens when you try and hide in the corner!!!!

Our annual float trip is next weekend. I hate leaving the kids again so soon but it's good for them to spend time away from us too. Nathan is already getting pretty clingy to me. Sometimes I feel guilty when he won't go to others (especially Nick) but like everything, I'm sure it's just a phase.

We're starting to get in a routine so I hope to keep the updates coming more regularly. Stay tuned!
