What's Happening with Nathan

So I mentioned Hannah's jumperoo. Well if Nathan were writing this blog it would be called Nathan's jumperoo. The first day we had it out I turned my back for two seconds and he had climbed right in!!! He was stuck and wanted help getting out. I told him he got himself in there....he would have to get himself out. Sure enough - he climbed back out. Then I said "well aren't you the little monkey?" He promptly replied "O oo oo oo" making monkey noises at me. He is quite the character that one. He hasn't been up for monkey-ing around this week....he's working on his last set of molars and they are giving him a rough time. All of his other teeth came in with virtually no issues. It's as if everything was saved up for this last hoorah. He wakes up crying and was even screaming one night :o( Poor little guy. He spiked a fever to 103/104 and has been very irritable. Thank goodness there is something that soothes him ---- curling up in the living room with his pacifier and blanket to watch Finding Nemo. If anyone needs some entertainment I can reenact the entire movie for you. Something else that cheers him up is "helping" with Hannah. He is practically obsessed with doing things for her. He insists on helping me change her diaper. His job is to put a new diaper on top of the changing table and then throw the old one in the trash. He takes his job very seriously and always waves his nose as if to say "stinky!" when he discards the old one. LOL! He also loves to "help" burp Hannah. Really he just rests his hand on her back while I burp her, but he's awful proud of himself when she lets out a huge belch. Last Sunday Nathan wanted to help hold Hannah. It was a pretty sweet moment.
And thanks to Grandpa Bob Nathan is a fabulous little sous chef. If he sees me in the kitchen he races to my side to "help".
Nick's youngest brother, Ben, was home last week and Nathan had so much fun getting to know him. Nathan pronounced his name "Bum" which turned into Ben's official name much like Uncle Adam is now know as "Ahhh".
Really everyone loved having Ben home. It was nice to catch up and have some relaxing conversations with Ben. And it was really special to see John and Linda with all four of their kids. I don't remember the last time we had the group together...we ate SO MUCH FOOD and watched a ton of football. It was like old times......It makes me so excited to think about family vacation next summer!!!!!
